[REVIEW] Focallure Brows Gel Cream in #4 Dark Brown - Produk Praktis 2 in 1

Kembali bersama saya, MissArifina. Masih ingat kan di postingan saya yang lalu tentang produk dari Focallure Contour dan Highlighter Stick? Disitu saya agak kurang suka dengan produknya karena bertekstur keras, dan tricky jika diaplikasikan ke wajah. Nah, kali ini saya ingin mereview produk alis pomade dari Focallure. Namun, tidak seperti produk kontur dan highlighternya yang saya kurang suka, kali ini saya memberi nilai plus dan saya suka sekali untuk pomade ini. 

Do you still remember my previous post of Focallure Contour and Highlighter Stick? I was quite disappointed then because of its dry texture, and tricky application when applied to the face. In this post, I want to give you a review of an eyebrow pomade from Focallure. However, unlike their contour and highlight which I don’t quite like, this time I give my approval and I admit that I really, really, like this pomade.

Sleek and edgy design is a positive point for Focallure

Untuk urusan kemasan dus serta produk, saya akui bahwa Focallure mendesain produk-produknya dengan apik. Masih dengan warna hitam doff dan aksen tulisan minimalis memberi kesan serius, edgy, dan mahal pada Focallure. Padahal sih, produk tersebut dibanderol dengan harga yang sangat terjangkau, ya. 

I have to admit that Focallure did a really good job in designing their product. This eyebrow pomade comes with a black doff packaging and a minimalist word accent that gives serious, edgy, and expensive vibe on it. The serious vibe given by Focallure is contrary with the cheap price we spent, right?

Saya membeli produk ini dari official seller Focallure di Indonesia. Kalau tidak salah waktu itu saya membeli dengan harga IDR 45.000. Saya kurang tahu jika hari ini harganya berubah. Dengan harga itu, kalian akan mendapatkan satu buah pan eyebrow pomade beserta kuas mini double ended –satu brush, dan satu  berbentuk sponge, yang saya pikir berguna untuk membaurkan pomadenya di alis.

I bought this product from Focallure official seller in Indonesia. At that time –around May 2017— it was priced for IDR 45.000. I have no idea if the price is changed today. With that, you will get a pan of eyebrow pomade with double ended brush applicator –brush and sponge—that I think can be used for blending the pomade on your eyebrow.

Saya tidak menggunakan aplikator bawaan karena kurang nyaman. Aplikatornya terlalu pendek, dan bulu kuasnya kurang runcing dan pipih. Jadi, saya memakai Real Techniques Eyebrow Brush untuk mengaplikasikan produk.

I am not using the applicator because I did not find it comfortable to use. It is too short, and the bristle is not sharp or flat. So I prefer to use my Real Techniques Eyebrow Brush to apply the product.

Teksture adalah yang paling saya suka dari pomade ini. Memiliki nasib yang kurang lebih sama dengan si kontur stik, lapisan atas pomade ini memang keras, namun setelah di colek beberapa kali dengan kuas eyebrow Real Techniques saya, perlahan tekstur creamynya mulai terasa. Menurut saya, creamynya pas. Tidak terlalu creamy, tidak terlalu keras. Cocok untuk membuat alis. Karena jika teksturnya terlalu creamy, guratan yang dihasilkan akan terlalu kereng atau ngejedag, sehingga tidak menghasilkan alis seperti tokoh Sinchan. Nah, kalau ini masih bisa agak-agak natural lah hasilnya.

The texture is my most favorite part of this pomade. Quite similar with the contour stick, the upper surface of this pomade is indeed rather dry, but after I dipped it for several times with my Real Techniques brush, it becomes creamy. For my opinion the creamy-ness is just right. Not too creamy, not too dry. It is suitable to shape the eyebrow. If it is too creamy, it will make the streak unnatural and look like a Shinchan character.

Its texture make it easy to use

Oya, satu hal yang perlu diingat. Bahwa pomade ini sangat cepat keringnya. Dan ketika  kering, rambut alis kita perlahan-lahan akan kaku. Menurut saya, hasil begini akan menghemat makeup karena kita tidak perlu lagi membeli eyebrow mascara untuk merapikan bentuk dan arah rambut alis. Cukup pomade ini, sudah 2 in 1 hasilnya. Oke, kan?

One thing to remember, this pomade dry fast. When it dries, your eyebrow hair will slowly turns stiff. I think this will be an eyebrow hack, because you no longer need an eyebrow mascara to smooth the shape and the direction of your eyebrow. You only need this pomade to achieve this 2 in 1 result. Sounds cool, right?

 

Soal daya tahan, selama kurang lebih setahun saya memakainya, saya puas. Sangat puas. Saya sudah memakai pomade ini di banyak kesempatan. Seperti saat ada kondangan, lari pagi + dilanjut belanja di sunmor, sampai berenang. Di akhir hari, pomade ini masih setia bertahan di alis saya. Yang membuat saya takjub adalah ketika saya selesai berenang, pomade ini sama sekali tidak bergerak, luntur, atau memudar di bagian pinggirnya.

In regard of its longevity, I have to say I am satisfied with the result. I have been using this pomade for many occasions. Such as wedding party, jogging and shopping in Sunday morning market, and swimming. At the end of the day, this pomade is still on my eyebrow. Not moving at all, no creasing, no bleeding at the edges. Just. Perfect.

Namun perlu diingat bahwa saya memakainya sebelum menggunakan moisturizer. Karena jika menggunakan moisturizer terlebih dahulu, dijamin deh, bagian ujung alis akan sedikit, sedikit ya.. gak banyak-banyak banget kok, memudar. Wajar sih, karena kan kita mengaplikasikannya diatas permukaan yang lembab/basah.

However, I have to remind you that I use this pomade before applying any skincare product. If I applied skincare first, I bet, the end of your eyebrow will a little bit faded. I think this is normal because the product is applied on wet surface, so it will not last that long.

Berbanding terbalik dengan saudaranya si kontur stik, saya suka sekali dengan pomade ini. Dengan harga yang murah, kalian akan mendapatkan produk dengan kualitas yang lumayan baik, mudah digunakan, dan tekstur yang nyanman dipakai. Selain karena harganya yang murah, hanya IDR 45.000, pomade ini dapat merangkap fungsinya sebagai pomade dan juga sebagai maskara alis. Sehingga dapat menghemat pengeluaran untuk membeli produk makeup untuk alis.

Contrary with the contour stick, I really like this pomade. You will get a nice decent eyebrow product, which is easy to use with comfortable texture for a cheap. Besides, this pomade doubles its function as an eyebrow pomade and as an eyebrow mascara. So you can save a little of money for just one product.
